The instruct was well prepared on teaching. Had knowledge of the camera I was using. Was very helpful on the camera issues I was having. She was able to critique my photos on site. It would be nice to have away of putting the photos oh a computer to do a in depth critique of photos. Overall great experience.

I heard about a launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket launch from the Vandenberg launch site Oct 2018 and I did not think I would see it from my location in the foothills of Coarsegold, Ca. I decided to go ahead and get my Nikon D7500, 10mm-24mm lens ready just in case. I was happy that I was ready for this shot. The orange dot below the rocket is the booster after jettison headed back to Earth and landed on a barge out in the ocean off the Southern California Coast.

Downtown Fresno is a great source for urban landscape photography. While walking near the train tracks I noticed a wall had recently been constructed parallel to the tracks with a rectangular opening. As I got closer I could see the framed image...I could not resist taking the picture. I used my Ricoh GRiiix 26mm (40mm equivalent), set at f/7.1, 1/1600sec, ISO 400.

I recently bought a Tesla and noticed the strange reflection coming off the front window when it rained. So I grabbed my camera on Sunday morning and started shooting. Canon R6, 35mm Macro lens, ISO 500, F8 at 1600sec.

Comet 12/P Pons-Brooks traveling at 40,000mph as it makes its way through our solar system. It'll be another 71 years before Pons-Brooks makes its way through here again.Comets are an interesting challenge because they travel at a different speed and direction from everything around them. Imagine taking a long exposure of two cars traveling different directions and speed. How not to blur the stars or the comet can be a challenge. This was 23x180sec frames stacked.

I love doing street photography. I generally look for street scenes that tell a story. This particular photo was taken in the tourist area of Monterey. I edited the photo in Lightroom, primarily a little cropping and adjusting white balance, B&W conversion, contrast, etc. I took the photo with my trusty Ricoh griiix, 26mm (40mm equivalent), 1/800 sec, f/6.3, ISO 400.

The significance of this shot for me was it was my first American Bald Eagle I had captured in the wild - after my wife, Susan, pointed it out to me. I was thrilled and determined to make the best capture I could.Upon closer examination I was awe inspired to see (in detail) the death stare, that razor like tool cutting beak, the unbelievable chest muscles and tremendous talons.
